Twit Twoo

Just the one for now, a happy owl...
It is actually the back cover of an alternator on a truck.

Thanks for looking.

fire damaged

It has been a slow week of exploring the world, looking out for faces. I am desperate to spot a face somewhere in nature, or in a cloud, but as of yet I have been unsuccessful. I've spotted other body parts in trees... but no faces :(

Back in my first post I had a picture of the sleepy motorcycle face...
Sadly this face came to an untimely end and now looks like this...

Very sad, so sad in fact that this truck part even looks a bit upset...

That is what's called an 'oil module' it is where the oil filters and oil cooler live on a truck. (Bit of unecessary information there)

Since I stumbled across this blog http://laurababb.wordpress.com/2011/09/02/how-to-be-an-explorer-faces/ I have been keeping my eyes peeled a bit more than usual, looking out for faces.

Hopefully, if anyone is actually reading this, you are enjoying the fruits of my exploring, and maybe feel a little inspired to look out for faces in unexpected places yourself. If you have any you have taken, or seen on-line let me know, either send me a tweet or an EMAIL with the link or the image and I'll post it here.

Thanks for reading.

Saturday afternoon faces

Now I'm actively looking for faces in things I seem to be seeing them everywhere.

This little toothbrush moustachioed chap is the interior lights in a van I was in last night...

When I got back into the workshop, doing my paper work, I spotted this beady eyed duck on the desk in the office...

Now for my first picture that I didn't actually take, mainly because I don't own, or know anyone who does own a Fiat Multipla, check out the monkey face on the heater vents...

Happy pie...

Looking through some of my old photos and I stumbled across these;

Years ago, every Thursday, I used to visit my nan and granddad and have a Pimbletts meat and potato pie (and various other cakes). One time I spotted this slightly surly looking pie...

Felt a bit bad eating him, I mean, look at his rosy cheeks, but... he was just so tasty...

Another Thursday pie shop visit brought me this terribly happy pie...

Sadly, neither Pimbletts or my Nan and Granddad are around any more, but the search for happy pies goes on.

Here is another work place face, this is a bucket of antifreeze with a light skin of old engine oil on it, (don't ask why) I walked past and instantly thought of that mask from the film Scream, but with a beauty spot. I remember this bucket well actually, for some reason it had been left in the corner of the workshop, but every time I walked past it there was a slightly different face looking out. This was the best of all the pictures I have of it. People in work were talking about me too as every time I walked past I took a photograph.

The search for faces will always go on.

Some unexpected faces

After seeing many faces in machines and the like I have decided to document them in a blog.

Some of you may have already seen these, and all are photographed by me. If I didn't take the photograph I will give a link to where I found it.

Lets start with a couple of old ones, these are from the inside of an air compressor on a small (7.5 tonne) truck...

                                                                        'smile'

                                                                           'shocked'

This is a slightly sad looking box in Sainsbury's....

This one is a hand brake valve lever on a truck...

This one is a rather sleepy looking motorbike engine...

Last one for today, an exploded diagram of the engine in my lawnmower... looks a bit alarmed to me, maybe because its scalp has been removed....
